Presentations and Site Launches

This morning at our monthly employee meeting, I helped give a presentation on the campaign we're running for the Jesus Storybook Bible. At the beginning of the presentation, we played the 1-minute teaser video I created. It was fun sharing it with a bunch of people and getting their positive feedback.

On another note, I've been notified that another website we've been working on at Zonderkidz launched this week. The Cecil & Friends Storytelling Kits are CD-ROMs that you throw into a computer with a projector, and they automatically launch some professional-quality story presentations for ministry leaders to use in group settings.

Finally, I just wanted to highlight the fact that ArtPrize begins today in Grand Rapids. It's a huge art contest, with almost $500k being given away in prize money, making it the largest art competition of its kind. There are close to 1,300 pieces that have been submitted for the contest, and these pieces have been spread throughout 3-square miles of Grand Rapids, MI. There's also a really unique use of social media for the judging process. You can register to vote for your favorite pieces, but you'll have to register at the event in order to vote. The event runs from today until October 10.

I really hope I can get a chance to walk around downtown GR and take a look at the cool sculptures and paintings. I love the idea of our entire city being over-run by wacky, stunning art in various formats. To learn more about ArtPrize, visit here.
